What

Aathmave is a formation accelerator for Malayali American Christian men, from various denominational backgrounds, pursuing vocational and missional work. The program supports participants as they commit to building meaningful work, whether entrepreneurial, creative, or ministerial, while undergoing intentional Christian formation. Aathmave does not seek financial return, but exists to form men capable of stewarding responsibility, influence, and faith across generations.

ആത്മാവേ

A call addressed inward, summoning the soul to responsibility, formation, and faithful work.

ഓരോരുത്തൻ അവൻ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവസ്ഥയിൽ
തന്നേ നിലകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 7:20

Let each one remain in the calling
in which he was called.

1 Corinthians 7:20

Aathmave exists to restore vocation as a site of witness, work as a form of ministry, and formation as a responsibility carried forward.

Why

01

A different path for vocation

Not every calling is discovered through institutional instruction. Historically, many of the Church's most faithful servants were formed through apprenticeship, discipline, and responsibility rather than formal credentialing.

For Malayali American Christian men, the prevailing paths often emphasize security and continuity, but leave little room for authorship, risk, or innovation. Aathmave affirms that vocation is not uniform. Each participant carries a distinct responsibility shaped by faith, gifting, and circumstance.

This program exists to honor that difference and to provide a serious alternative path rooted in formation rather than conformity.

02

Freedom ordered toward faithful work

Formation requires freedom, but freedom must be ordered toward responsibility. Without ownership of one's time and labor, vocation becomes abstract and faith becomes detached from daily life.

Aathmave creates space for participants to commit themselves fully to meaningful work while remaining accountable to Christian formation. Participants are expected to labor consistently, reflect critically, and submit their work to counsel and correction.

The aim is not autonomy for its own sake, but the integration of faith, discipline, and action.

03

A shared inheritance

Christian vocation has never been a solitary pursuit. It is sustained through community, memory, and intergenerational transmission.

Many young men lack access to elders, peers, and practitioners who can offer guidance shaped by faith and lived experience. Aathmave intentionally cultivates a shared inheritance by connecting participants across denominational lines and generations.

This network is not transactional. It is a body ordered toward mutual responsibility, stewardship, and continuity.

04

How it works

Participants engage in a structured formation program that includes mentorship, spiritual direction, cohort gatherings, and financial backing to support their vocational pursuit.

The program is designed to equip men with the theological depth, practical skills, and spiritual maturity needed to steward their calling with integrity and faithfulness.

Formation is holistic, addressing every dimension of life as a site of witness and discipleship.
